Ike’s Love and Sandwiches, the bourgeoning brand that’s concentrated along the West Coast but beginning to spread its wings further afield, is set to make its Huntington Beach debut with an outpost in Five Points Plaza, located at 18685 Main St, that should open around the end of August, according to board member Chris Bright.

Bright, who serves as CEO of Irvine-based Global Pacific Business Management, an equal shareholder in Ike’s Love and Sandwiches, says, “As Orange County residents, we’re excited to add another location in the Orange County market.”

Ike’s Love and Sandwiches was originally founded as Ike’s Place in San Francisco by the company’s namesake founder Ike Shehadeh, in 2007. The shop quickly solidified its place in California’s sandwich scene thanks to its inclusive offerings that satiate the palates of omnivores, herbivores, and everyone in between, not to mention the company’s signature Dutch Crunch bread and secret “Dirty Sauce.”

What’s more, each location – which can currently be found in California, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Texas – features a number of “exclusive sandwich offerings that are eclectically named as a tribute to local celebrities and icons,” as well as a number of award-winning choices – Best Sandwich in the World courtesy of Shehadeh’s mom, notwithstanding – such as two named for former San Francisco Giants pitchers, Madison Bumgarner and Matt Cain.

True to its name though, “Love comes before sandwiches at Ike’s,” Shehadeh writes on the company’s website, “and we are in the love, respect, and appreciation business.”
