Vo tells What Now Orange County that the genesis of Flappy’s can be traced back to the Covid-19 pandemic when their group of friends began competing with each other in wing cook-offs. Impressed by all the unique and “amazing” creations that were being produced, the group decided they should open their own restaurant, “inspired by OC’s diverse flavors” that would operate under the slogan, “Don’t Dumb Down Flavor!”

The result will be a humble joint where “everyone can come enjoy great wings and 20-plus ice cold beers on tap while watching the latest sports,” says Vo.

“We are like a small neighborhood bar that’s not intimidating for anyone to just come to eat and watch the game; a place where the boys and the gals can hang out.”
