The LA-based eatery came to fruition in 2017 when Henry and Johnny met one fateful summer.

Being “straight out of Korea,” Henry arrived in Los Angeles over a decade ago. There, he and his younger brother would navigate the streets of Koreatown, chasing dreams and searching for opportunities. After accruing accolades in the service industry — specifically, the pizza world — Henry found himself ready for an ownership role.

His counterpart, Johnny Lee, hails from Boise, Idaho. A Korean-American infatuated with restaurant culture, Johnny also craved the culinary lifestyle.

Per the company’s website, “Koreatown Pizza Co. is [a] platform to bring flavors & ingredients [Johnny and Henry] love to [the] Los Angeles community. Delicious is the journey, Pizza is the vehicle, Craft beer is the pit stop, and satisfied stomachs are the destination. Also somewhere in there are awesome appetizers, signature pasta, salads, and great wine partnerships!”
