Solita Tacos & Margaritas, from Xperience Restaurant Group, announced the opening of its new location in Anaheim, CA at 2438 E Katella Ave. Locals and visitors are offered a culinary experience highlighting Baja-style cuisine inspired by the charro cooking of northern Mexico, as well as the wide variety of tequila, mezcal, and margaritas. Solita Tacos & Margaritas currently operates three locations in Southern California and recently opened a Chicago location, with plans to expand to Orlando, Florida this fall.

Showcasing over 6,800 square feet worth of dining space, Solita Anaheim seats up to 300 guests inside, as well as 68 guests outside in an 1,000-square-foot patio that embraces the year-round temperate climate. The interior features a modern twist on a tequila distillery. The location is adjacent to a convenient walkway underpass to Angels Stadium and is a short drive to the Honda Center.

“We are thrilled to finally open Solita’s doors in Anaheim,” said Randy Sharpe, CEO of Xperience Restaurant Group in a statement. “We plan to quickly contribute to the fabric of the community and the city’s widely popular attractions, and we look forward to watching Solita’s mission come to life by providing friendly service, good food, and great drinks.”

Solita’s menu features familiar Mexican fare along with items cooked on a wood-fired grill and smoker, paired with over 20 different housemade salsas and hand-muddled margaritas. The beverage program features margaritas and a curated collection of more than 60 tequilas and mezcals. Solita also offers a mix-and-match option from the “Tacos Locos” list. Solita’s dishes and hand-crafted drinks include:

  ·      Pork Belly Dorado Taco, pork belly smoked in-house for six hours, served with amarillo hot sauce, onions, cilantro, and slaw

·      Vampiro Taco, double tortilla with cheese, serrano peppers, green onions, guacamole, chipotle sauce, cotija cheese, and salsa fresca; comes with a choice of carne asada or grilled chicken

·      Grilled Corn Elote, roasted and wood-grilled sweet corn carved tableside with butter, chipotle sauce, ground California chile, cotija cheese, and green onions

·      Nachitos Perfectos, tortilla chips, black beans, red chile sauce, cheese, jalapeño, guacamole, chipotle, and sour cream

·      Steak Carne Asada, wood-grilled Angus steak, avocado, jalapeños, toreados, scallions, and chimichurri; served with 2 sides

·      Watermelon Margarita, Lunazul Reposado Tequila, muddled watermelon, lime juice, simple syrup (Also available in pitchers)

·      El Volcan, Chamucos blanco, lime juice, ginger syrup, soda water; served tableside with creme de cassis

·      Ducky Frozé, Solita’s frozen margarita and guava juice, topped with sparkling rosé and served in honor of the local Anaheim Duck’s NHL team

Solita Anaheim will be open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. The restaurant will also offer Happy Hour from 3-6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; Taco + Tequila Tuesday from 3 p.m. to close on Tuesdays; and Weekend Brunch from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
