Jeong’s Noodle is currently under construction at 8893 Garden Grove Blvd. Owner David Byungin Im told What Now Orange County that the location hopes to open by the end of this year, but was unable to provide a set open date at this juncture.
Im told What Now Orange County that he is currently facing delays with the permitting process, but once open, customers can look forward to Jeong’s Noodle specialties like a spicy Korean seafood noodle dish called jjampong.
Jjampong is a Chinese-style Korean noodle soup. It’s red, spicy broth is is seafood or pork based and flavored with gochugaru (or chili powder). It often includes vegetables like onion, zucchini, carrots and cabbage, and may feature meats like squid, mussels and pork.
Jeong’s Noodle has yet to establish its website or social media platforms, but patrons can watch for its opening in the Garden Grove shopping center between Pho 86 and Paris Baguette.
