The Las Vegas-based dining and nightlife powerhouse Clique Hospitality is set to open its newest concept, SET Steak & Sushi, in Pendry Newport Beach, located at 690 Newport Center Dr, later this summer, according to a press release shared with What Now Orange County.
“We intend to deliver a dining experience that’s unlike anything in Orange County today,” said Andy Masi, founder of Clique Hospitality in a statement. “SET is going to be a true culinary experience – from the finest ingredients to the most gorgeous cocktails and table-side preparations. The design of the restaurant will create a picture-perfect backdrop, elevating the dining in Newport Beach to another level.”
SET’s menu will showcase organic and locally sourced seasonal sustainable ingredients, making it one of Orange County’s most socially conscious restaurants. The diverse menu designed with James Beard Foundation Smart Catch Leader, JoJo Ruiz, will accentuate Executive Chef James Jung’s acclaimed creative culinary mind, featuring a collection of American steakhouse classics with the best cuts and chops from Cedar River and Snake River Farms, Double R Ranch, and more. Jung also showcases his background in Asian cuisine with modern interpretations such as the Half Peking Duck served with Tokyo Negi, cucumber, hoisin sauce, and pancakes, alongside a dynamic selection of sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls.
Similarly, pristine attention to detail has also been paid to SET’s design and decor, allowing guests to completely immerse themselves in a dining experience, with the restaurant’s interior design by Alessandro Munge and Studio Munge, and inspired by an ultra-luxury yachting vessel. The restaurant’s garden-inspired patio beckons guests to linger under twinkling lights in what feels like a lush oasis in the middle of Newport Beach. SET’s vibrant bar scene will feature a menu including an extensive wine list, classic cocktails, and innovative specialties, making it the perfect place for a night out as the ideal see-and-be-seen locale to enjoy the view and savor the setting.
