Neighborhood Goods is a new type of department store — one where you’ll find a modern curation of products and brands that aim to reshape the culture around shopping. One of their next locations is coming soon to Fashion Island in Newport Beach, where tenant improvements have begun on a 9,169-square foot space at the mall, according to city public records.

The boutique department store was founded in November 2018 at Legacy West in Plano, Texas with a highly-curated selection of items that revitalize the department store shopping experience. Neighborhood Goods stocks exciting brands — both big and small — that put quality over quantity and are thoughtful in the way their products are created.

Since their founding, Neighborhood Goods has opened stores in New York’s Chelsea Market, and most recently on South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. They’ve even opened their own on-site restaurant concepts; Prim and Proper in Plano and Tiny Feast in Chelsea Market.

The department store is actively seeking opportunities for expansion across the nation, with plans in Newport Beach among them. An opening for the new location at Fashion Island has not yet been announced.
