The River Street Marketplace will be an off-shoot of Almquist’s two other food halls, Rodeo 39 in Stanton and Rodeo X in Ontario Ranch. The brand will also soon debut Rodeo 72 in Whittier.

“River Street Marketplace is a 60,000-sqft community destination in the heart of San Juan Capistrano,” explains the concept’s website. “Built in the Los Rios district, the oldest neighborhood in California, the marketplace features elevated agrarian architecture, broken up into smaller buildings designed around a central green.”

The space will feature modern dining concepts like Fermentation Farm and The Meat Cellar and Steakhouse, curated retail, local art, a butcher, and a full bar and brewery with shared communal tables for outdoor dining.

As for Shootz, the menu offers an array of savory-sweet goodness including a Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Sandwich, Jalapeno Garlic Shrimp, Loco Moco, and Honey Coconut Shrimp Musubi.

Shootz CEO Harold Walters is also part of the Breezy brand, another San Juan Capistrano culinary concept offering Shootz’s same level of flair with an added touch of Filipino flavors.
