GG’s Chicken Shop is launching its west coast presence with a location in Downtown Disney, the OC Register reported. Although there is no set open date, the article estimates completion in late 2024.
Executive Chef Lee Wolen was so far unable to comment on the news of this premier location. According to the website, the shop was named after Lee’s late mother, Geri, who friends affectionately call GG. In addition to GG’s Chicken Shop, Chef Lee leads the Michelin-starred restaurant Boka and Italian eatery, Alla Vita.
Visitors at Downtown Disney will soon be able to enjoy items that already grace the existing GG’s location in Chicago, Illinois. The menu has a wide variety of chicken sandwiches, salads, and sides like sweet corn elote, crispy brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes topped with chicken drippings.
