According to the brand’s website, “Gatang is a Filipino term for a ‘cup of rice’ (dry measure) that symbolizes a local tradition ‘for the love of rice,’ with its owners hoping to “showcase the flexibility of white rice that can be cooked in so many different ways and considerably (sic) an important meal component.”

As such, its menu currently boasts seven types of rice bowls, including Beef Short Ribs Adobo, Ilocos Bagnet, or crispy deep-fried pork belly, a grilled boneless chicken marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, lemon grass, and Philippine lime dubbed the Bacolod Chicken Inasal, a Tuna Belly Sugba, Ginataang Tilapia, vegetarian-friendly Gising-Gising, and a Longganisa.
