The award-winning Dog Pawrk Brewing Company in San Juan Capistrano is in the early phases of planning a new on-site restaurant.
The unique dog- and kid-friendly brewery, located at 27122 Paseo Espada A904, submitted a plan review last week for a new restaurant construction at the same address in unit A920. The company is currently searching for funding for this new addition, co-owner Nathan Beckham told What Now Orange County via text message.
Beckham co-founded the Dog Pawrk in 2019, and it’s since established itself as a popular spot in the area, ranked first in a Yelp list of best San Juan Capistrano breweries. The brewery’s branding is all about beer and dogs — both of which could be called man’s best friend, providing comfort, loyalty and sometimes unpredictability, the company website describes.
“At The DOG PAWRK Brewing Company our focus is to provide the loyalty of ‘Really good, local beer’ with the dogged passion and stubbornness to always do the unexpected and provide creative beers,” the site states.
Currently, patrons of the brewery can find seating in the tasting room or the outdoor patio and can enjoy meals from pop-up food trucks, which vary based on a changing weekly calendar posted on the website. The calendar also includes live music and other events, like Trivia Tuesday and Thursday night football. If its new restaurant venture is successful, the Dog Pawrk will expand in size and food selections, allowing space for community members of all ages and their furry friends to dine in.
