According to leasing documents, a location is planned for 15555 Brookhurst Street in Westminster. The space, which was formerly a bank, is more than 3,800 square feet, according to the documents.

Bafang Yunji North America CEO Stephanie Peng told What Now Orange County the restaurant will be open in 2024. An additional location in Irvine is slated to open next year as well, she said.

Bafang Dumpling was founded by Jiayu Lin in 1998. The well-established brand with more than 1,100 stores across Asia opened its first U.S. location in City of Industry in 2022 with plans to continue expansion in Southern California.

Other cities in the Golden State where Bafang Dumpling can be found currently are Chino Hills, Temple City and Gardena, which just recently opened.

Franchising is on the horizon for Bafang Dumpling, but Peng told What Now Orange County the Westminster location will be corporate-owned.
