The Mixing Glass, a boutique liquor store located inside the SOCO Collection at OC Mix, is getting ready to move into a bigger and better space, Voice of OC reports. This fall the store is reinventing itself as Mixing Glass and Market, located at 1500 Adams Ave., where it will take over a former physical therapy business on the northwest corner of Adams Avenue and Harbor Boulevard.

Since opening in 2014, The Mixing Glass has become a go-to spot in Costa Mesa featuring barware, spirits, and friendly staff on hand to help cocktail enthusiasts stock their home bars. Now, owner Gabrielle Dion has more to offer from a 1,580-square foot space that will be nearly five times bigger than the current outpost at OC Mix.
“We are going to create a unique epicurean shopping experience,” Dion tells Voice of OC. “We are going to put the same time, research and care into curating all these new items with the same rigorous standards as we are famous for with our spirit selection.”
On top of an excellent liquor selection and all the supplies you need to create your favorite cocktail, Mixing Glass and Market will have a kitchen and cold cases stocked with fresh food and pantry staples. Grab-and-go salads and sandwiches will be made on site, in addition to house-made syrups, jam and pickles.
You will also find seasonal produce from local farmer’s markets, in addition to artisan goods sourced primarily from local and women-owned businesses when possible. Beer, wine, and cold non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well.
Until Mixing Glass and Market is officially open for business this fall, the original Mixing Glass shop will remain open at OC Mix. For more information, visit The Mixing Glass’s website.
