The River Street Marketplace will be an off-shoot of Almquist’s two other food halls, Rodeo 39 in Stanton and Rodeo X in Ontario Ranch. The brand will also soon debut Rodeo 72 in Whittier.

“River Street Marketplace is a 60,000-sqft community destination in the heart of San Juan Capistrano,” explains the concept’s website. “Built in the Los Rios district, the oldest neighborhood in California, the marketplace features elevated agrarian architecture, broken up into smaller buildings designed around a central green.”

The space will feature modern dining concepts like Bred Hot Chicken and Hudson’s Cookies, curated retail, local art, a butcher, and a full bar and brewery with shared communal tables for outdoor dining.

As for Kozan, Ower Christine Chiu tells What Now Orange County that the concept’s offerings are “made with care, [ensuring] quality, unique boba creations that look and taste good.”

“We’re excited to join the San Juan Capistrano community,” Chiu continues, “and to bring people together with new flavor experiences.”
