Sur Coffee, a Southern California-based roaster and café, is set to open a new location at 213 Calle de Los Molinos in San Clemente. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues the journey to bring high-quality, ethically sourced coffee to communities across the region.
The new café will be under 2,000 square feet, according to the records. The project has undergone a detailed plan review process with the Orange County Health Care Agency.
The initial intake of plans was reviewed on July 9, 2024. Plan revisions were submitted in October and the plans were officially approved on November 1, granting Sur Coffee the authority to begin construction.
Founded on the belief that coffee can be both high-quality and community-centered, Sur Coffee has grown from a small startup into a respected name in Southern California’s coffee scene. Originally roasting beans out of a garage, the company has expanded its reach with shops in Ocean Beach, Huntington Beach, and San Clemente.
