This decision was made after a public hearing on July 8. However, the company told What Now OC that it does not anticipate receiving permits for construction until April. There had been Buzz about the restaurant coming but no specifics were released.

Raising Cane’s will develop a 2,899-square-foot commercial building on a property that has been vacant since the original structure was demolished in 2008. The site, which had been closed off with temporary fencing, will now be redeveloped into the eating establishment, complete with a double drive-through lane designed to accommodate 37 vehicles.

Founded in 1996 by Todd Graves in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the fast-food chain is known for its focus on high-quality, freshly prepared chicken tenders. The menu is streamlined, offering only chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, toast, coleslaw, and the signature Cane’s Sauce. Each tender is marinated for 24 hours, hand-battered, and fried fresh.
