Porto’s ubiquitous yellow boxes filled with sweet, crispy original Cheese Rolls, Refugiados (Guava and Cheese Strudels), or famous Potato Balls are a Southern California staple at this point. It all started in 1976, when Rosa Porto opened her first official storefront in Echo Park, California.

Since then, business has remained within the family as Rosa’s children took on larger roles after graduating college and continue to operate Porto’s to this day. Rosa’s legacy lives on with bakeries located in Burbank, Glendale, Buena Park, Downey, West Covina, and Northridge.

In addition to their delicious desserts and pastries, Porto’s specializes in Cuban-inspired sandwiches, plates, salads and soups. An opening date for Porto’s Bakery at Downtown Disney has not yet been announced. For more information, visit www.portosbakery.com.
