Spearheaded by developers Burnham-Ward Properties, the total overhaul of the Dana Point Harbor promises to feature some exciting new dining options. Headlining the dining developments is The Boathouse, a curated artisanal food court providing a bevy of bites that harbor goers can enjoy on the new expanses of public green space.

The project will also feature multiple rooftop bars and two hotels, which replace the current Marina Inn, making the new Dana Point Harbor an ideal spot for a weekend getaway.

However, the developments are not limited to retail. The 2,265-slip marina will also be receiving an overhaul, its firsts major renovation since the 1970s. While Burnham-Ward promises to retain the Harbor’s unique character and charm, boaters can expect some more high tech digs when they dock in. Upgrades include increased pump-out stations and the elimination of treated wood, which will not only improve the dock’s longevity, but will lessen its environmental impact as well.

As vendors get confirmed and new details emerge about the project, What Now Orange County will continue to report.
