Local Kitchens, a micro food hall that brings a diverse mix of local restaurants under one roof, is coming to Orange County this fall. The San Francisco-based company recently announced its expansion into Southern California, with two locations planned for Orange County and another in Los Angeles County. In Orange County, Local Kitchens will be at 7151 Warner Ave. in the Goldenwest & Warner Shopping Center of Huntington Beach, as well as at 23621 El Toro Road in Lake Forest.

Founded by former DoorDash colleagues during the pandemic, Local Kitchens saw a need for local restaurants to reach their regular customer base beyond their regular brick-and-mortar locations. Local Kitchens brings customers the neighborhood’s top dining destinations with a tech-forward experience that streamlines the ordering process.

Through their app or the kiosks in their stores, customers can order from multiple restaurants on one tab. The food is prepared on-site and is ready in around 15 minutes for pick-up. They also offer delivery through a partnership with DoorDash.

For their Southern California debut, Local Kitchens has partnered with a variety of Orange County and Los Angeles brands including Baby Badass Burgers, Backyard Bowls, Chicas Tacos, Hanchic, Locali, Sweetfin, and Milk Bar. There will also be select Bay Area concepts that will expand to SoCal by way of this partnership.

“Our guests in NorCal love the unique ability to easily mix and match from 5-10 different cuisines all in one order,” said Jon Goldsmith, CEO and co-founder of Local Kitchens in a press release. “We’re thrilled to introduce the same variety of cuisines and convenience to the Huntington Beach, Lake Forest and Redondo Beach communities as our first of many Southern California locations.”
