Wing lovers in OC will be happy to hear that a Wingstop franchisee is opening up a number of new stores in the area. The next location coming from the operator will be located at 13234 Harbor Blvd. Suite 2 in Garden Grove, according to a tip sent to What Now OC.
This opening is part of a broader expansion strategy by Far West Restaurant Group, the largest Wingstop franchisee on the West Coast. Under the leadership of CEO/President Jorge Ortiz, the powerhouse has a dedicated team of over 1,000 employees.
Far West Restaurant Group has more than 125 locations open currently, with over 50 more planned for the next year and a half. The new Garden Grove store is one of several the company has slated to open in Southern California, including 14 new stores in Los Angeles, 6 in San Diego, and 7 in Orange County.
Wingstop has reported remarkable growth thus far in 2024, with a 21.6% increase in domestic same-store sales and $1.1 billion in system-wide sales for Q1, recent reports from the brand state. The fast-casual chicken concept has a simple, well-loved menu of wings, tenders, and sandwiches, cooked to order and available in 11 distinctive flavors.
