Records in the Orange County Register state “a sound wall will be installed along the rear property lines to minimize noise disruption.” There will also be some permitting done for a 1,350-square-foot outdoor area that is used for events.

Five Crowns has no plans to alter anything operationally, and will not need to close while construction happens, CEO Ryan O’Melveny Wilson told What Now OC. He hopes work can commence around October or November.

Wilson, who is the fourth-generation owner of the establishment his family started decades ago, expressed they are happy to make the investment for the minor improvements outside. “We are proud, honored, and motivated to continue to be a real cornerstone and a cherished restaurant in Corona Del Mar,” he said.
