A hybrid concept, McCoy says BarVino will function as a “retail wine, beer, cheese, and charcuterie shop” by day and a wine bar come evening.

While there won’t be a full kitchen on site, McCoy says some food items will be available. Think of snacks that have been selected to pair well with BarVino’s curated slate of beer and wine. The selection will highlight bottles from small, independent producers.

For the more committed wine enthusiasts, the shop will also run a bottle subscription program through its wine club and host the occasional winemaker dinner, but the details on both these are still getting ironed out.

BarVino will be located in Dana Point’s La Plaza shopping center, right next to La Plaza Park, just off Golden Lantern, and just a few turns from the PCH.
