The incoming franchise will be owned by Dany Askar who, according to a 2021 franchise disclosure document, will open eight locations in total. Addresses for those eight outposts are listed as “TBD.”

This new Santa Ana location comes on the heels of a massive expansion announcement inspired by momentum from the brand’s remarkable performance in 2022, the most successful year in its company history.

Currently, The Great Greek has plans to open 13 new locations in five states throughout the Western US, starting with the recently-opened San Diego store before landing in Rancho Cucamonga, Sacramento, Arizona, and Oregon

This article has been updated to include a brief interview with Askar:

WNOC: When will your store open?

DA: We are estimated to open in Q2 of this year.

WNOC: How did you land on The Great Greek as a franchising opportunity?

DA: I am a health-conscious person who has been starving for healthy and delicious food as we live in a world full of pizza, burgers, and fried food.

I fell in love with The Great Greek the first time I tried it. Everything on the menu is delicious and is comprised of recipes passed through generations.
